Steep vs Cheap

Eventhough I'm still questioning the style of them some of you might just love the Louboutin Fringe cutout boots. If this is the case but your wallet just seems to be a little bit to thin right now you can always check out this great alternative! If I ever decide that I do like them I'll definitely go for the cheaper wannabes since they look pretty decent. Besides, who can argue with a price like that?

Ugly shoe of the week

It breaks my heart to say this but it sure needs to be said: These are truly the definition of ugly!
How is it possible that a guy like Louboutin (the man behind these beauties) can be responsible for designing such an ugly shoe?

New suede pumps with rhinestones

I bought these heels a couple of weeks ago after I've been looking at them every single day for a week or so and going back and forth contemplating whether or not I should buy them. I normally can't stand clothes and shoes with rhinestones on them but with these particular heels it seems to work. It works really really well to tell you the truth. I can't wait to wear them when ( if ever..)  the snow finally decides to give way to the lovely springtime.

Helgen

Just nu skulle jag ha varit hemma med T och haft en mysig helg med honom och småttingarna. Istället sitter jag ensam långt hemifrån och kämpar mig igenom en magsjuka/matförgiftning. (Folk säger att det är magsjuka men mina symtom + det faktum att magsjuka är aningen töntigare och mesigare än matförgiftning får mig att luta åt en matförgiftning)
Efter att ha kämpat mig till jobbet igår och kommit 45 minuter för sent (Stort tack till SL!) härdade jag ut i ganska exakt en timme innan jag trillade in på toaletten för att sedan trilla ut därifrån och blek som ett spöke förklara att "nu åker jag nog hem igen"..
Klockan tolv landade jag i sängen efter att ha spenderat sex timmar hemifrån varav en på jobbet och fem på resande fot. Helgen har sedan dess bestått av: sömn, blåbärssoppa, sömn, blåbärssoppa, sömn och... blåbärssoppa.

Dagens stilettklack i baken går till den räksallad jag åt häromdagen alternativt den som kastat magsjukebaciller på mig samt till snö, is och SL.

Dagens klapp på axeln går till SLs markpersonal och då speciellt de stackarna som står och sopar/skottar snö och hackar is överallt för brinnande livet för att vi irriterade, stressade och superviktiga människor inte ska behöva komma mer försent än nödvändigt.

Innebandy

På väg till jobbet imorse lyssnade jag på radio där det talades lite om innebandy. Någon förklarade att man visst måste tacklas lite i riktig innebandy, sålänge man bara gör det "axel mot axel". Detta fick mig att tänka efter lite...

Jag kommer aldrig kunna spela innebandy! Axel mot höft godkänns nog inte riktigt. Eller?

Ugly shoe of the week

♥Valentine's day ♥

Today's valentine's day and I know that a lot of people out there has been spending their sunday trying to convince themselfs and others around them that it's just another weekend filled with commercial hype and unnecessary forced gift shopping.  Maybe you're right, maybe you're not. All I know is that I would be a big fat lier if I said that I don't care much for little love-filled gifts. I do. I really really do. And it doesn't have to be expensive, big or spectacular. T gave me a sweet valentine's card today in which he'd wrote a sweet line. That's really all it takes to show your love and appreciation.
BUT, if you would like to take it one step further this just might be the perfect gift for your partner (or maybe just to show yourself some love and appreciation...)

RIP Alexander McQueen

Early this morning Lee Alexander McQueen, designer and founder of the Alexander McQueen brand, was found dead in his home. At this moment it is believed that he took his own life but it hasn't yet been confirmed by the police. McQueen lost his mother a while back and it has been said that ever since she died he's been struggling with a deep depression.

Today it's not about high heels, it's not about wild, anarchist design. It's about a life that ended way too soon, it's about a family that's been left behind and it's about the horrible pain he must have gone through before he just couldn't take it anymore.

My thoughts go out to his family and friends and I hope that the media will respect their wishes and give them some much needed privacy.

Steep vs Cheap

I'm seriously in love with this caged platform pump from Miu Miu. One thing that I'm not crazy about though is the price-tag which is just overwhelming, to say the least. Luckily for those of us with a not so unlimited shoe account there's always cheaper brands that wants to go copycat on the poor high-end designers asses ;-)
This time I'm sending out a big thank you to Tiamo that managed to make a nice rip-off of the Miu Miu pumps. If they're still available at the end of this month there's a big chance that they'll end up in with me..

Ugly shoe of the week

This weeks "ugly shoe of the week" is presented to you by the lovely Michael Kors who sometimes (unfortunately..) manages to design shoes that are not so.. lovely. Take these for example, start from the top and move downwards really, really slowly.. The upper part is just adorable with its straps, studs and o-rings, don't you think? So far so good. And then, BAM! A gigantic wooden piece that seems to have been cut out with an axe or a similar tool with the same accuracy and precision as an axe.
It's really too bad.. They could've looked really great with a different type of heel..

Lördagsmys

Sovmorgon, T, städning, pizza, film, mys och B&J. En jättefin lördag (om vi bortser från städningen då..)
Det känns underbart att jag inte behöver infinna mig på jobbet igen förrens på tisdag morgon. Det ger mig alltså en extra dag hemma med älsklingen och småttningarna ♥

Christmas(!) present

I've already showed off one of the two pairs of high heels that I got as a christmas present but I just haven't gotten around to make a post about the second pair. Shame on me...
Well, here they are! At the moment they're one of my absolute favorites with their plain 5" heel and beautiful stitches.

Jag har redan visat upp det ena paret av de två jag fick i julklapp men sen har jag helt enkelt inte fått tummen ur och skrivit ett inlägg om det andra paret. Fy mig..
